Evidence from real ledger reviews

These notes reference specific engagements—aging breaks, subcontractor timing, and pre-filing cleanup—not generic praise.

“They caught three months of subcontractor costs sitting in a catch-all expense code after we closed the related renovation jobs. The remediation list was blunt, which we needed.”

— Mei-Ling H., facilities contractor · Receivables & Payables Aging Review

“The aging review took longer than we hoped because our project codes were inconsistent—but the memo finally explained why retained earnings kept swinging. I would have liked clearer sample sizes in the first draft; the revision fixed that.”

— Carlos R., studio operations lead · Full Backend Bookkeeping Audit

“Before filing, our suspense account still held twelve unexplained items. BackendLINK walked each one with our bookkeeper and left a checklist we used the following Monday.”

— Aisha T., multi-salon group · Pre-Filing Reconciliation Audit

“The chart cleanup assessment was narrower than a full audit, which suited us. We kept most revenue codes and only merged the duplicates that caused misposts.”

— Kenji S., field service dispatcher · Chart of Accounts Cleanup Assessment

Extended engagement notes

Two longer accounts of how the work unfolded on site and remotely.

Cleaning company, three entities

A Taipei cleaning group asked for a full backend bookkeeping audit ahead of a bank conversation. Intercompany management fees had been posted on only one side for two quarters.

We sampled bank reconciliations, traced payroll control accounts, and documented unmatched intercompany balances. The findings memo ranked the intercompany gap as high severity and recommended mirrored journals before the lender package left the office.

Timeline: three weeks. Delivery: remote review plus one half-day working session at their office.

Design studio, month-end drift

A studio with retainer and project billing requested a month-end ledger health check after two closings in a row required large manual journals.

Fieldwork focused on deferred revenue and unbilled WIP. Several retainers had been recognized in full while delivery continued into the next month. The health-check note gave the bookkeeper a cut-off rule and a short list of accounts to review every closing Friday.

Timeline: four business days. No on-site visit required.
