About
Ledgers first, jargon later
BackendLINK grew out of repeated requests from service-company owners who needed someone to sit with the books—not rewrite their software stack—before a filing, refinance, or ownership conversation.
Origin
We began by helping Taipei-based agencies and maintenance firms untangle books after rapid hiring. The pattern was familiar: invoices posted late, job codes reused, bank reconciliations signed off with unexplained differences.
Rather than offering ongoing bookkeeping, we stayed with independent backend bookkeeping audit checks—sampling, documenting breaks, and leaving the day-to-day posting with the client’s bookkeeper.
Approach
Every engagement starts with a scoping call. We ask which legal entities matter, which months are in scope, and who can answer questions about revenue cut-off and vendor timing. Fieldwork follows a written checklist so findings stay tied to evidence, not opinion.
Values
- Plain-language findings ranked by severity
- Respect for the bookkeeper already in the seat
- No pressure to buy monthly retainers we do not offer
- Clear line between audit review and tax preparation
People & place
Our working base is in Taipei. Engagements are mostly remote document reviews, with optional in-person working sessions when ledgers and paper support need to be examined together.
We work in English for international owners and bilingual teams, and we coordinate with local bookkeepers who maintain the day-to-day file.
